Renewable Energies in Argentina: The Case of the Wind Energy and its Advances in Regulatory Matters

At present, the world wind industry presents a very strong growth significant, however despite its high wind potential, Argentina has not managed to fold to this trend. In this context, the objective of this paper is to study what is the participation of wind energy at national level and analyze policy instruments energy used so far to promote this type of technology. The study has carried out through an analysis of progress in regulatory terms, the main barrier to the entrance of the wind generation. The conclusions highlight that even that high wind potential has not been taken advantage of and the State has a fundamental role to play determine energy policies that provide solutions to these aspects.
